One day we were joking around and talking about how we worked, someone said: “You’re like the guides who lead people to the top of Everest.” HAHAHA LOL… #WTF It’s the best fucking definition of our job that can be made! We’re digital Sherpas.
If there is one thing we have learned in all our years of experience, it is that building digital products is like mountain climbing:
1. It requires skill, diverse abilities and a great deal of technical knowledge.
2. There are risks involved, so be prepared and learn from your mistakes as quickly as possible
3. Requires professional tools and equipment and warranty.
4. To have a better chance of success, it must be tackled as a team.
Tenzing (the Sherpa) and Hillary were the first to set foot on the summit of Everest, but reporters were persistent with the question: Which of the two was entitled to the glory of being first? Colonel Hunt declared:
It depends on how ambitious the project is. Do we face a simple challenge like climbing a hill? Or do you want to climb Everest?
This is why we compare our work with that of the Sherpas, we work as a team. We are part of the expedition, we know and assume the risks, we are honest, we do the hard work, we open the way, we serve as a guide and we charge for it all.
We allow ourselves this license so that our clients understand a key point, each project is an ascension, it requires a proportionate and well managed investment, equipment, tools, dedication and strategic vision.
